Deep Dive to the depths of Hell...

Aha nearly 70 hits in a week !

So as promised earlier I will write about Jovan’s second book in this post....
‘Dancing with the Avatar’...

If you are asking me to talk about this book in a sentence...mmm... well I would recommend you to read ‘Chasing the Avatar’ first...and if you have already read it...then this book will exceed your expectations for sure !

Maya dreamt of a successful spiritual life and started her life in India being a devotee of the Avatar ‘Cha Ma’. With first book Jovan shared her voyage and transition from Dreams to Nightmares, where as this book gives clear picture of her damned and pathetic life in depths of darkness...

The last part of the first book will wake up the inquisitiveness in reader to know more about her and to know how is she gonna survive ! So for all those who are expecting a sudden dramatic change from the miserable life will become desperate initially with Jovan’s way of narration....
My dear fellows this is not some relic hunting Hollywood movie plot for such great twists and escapes !!  This is an autobiographical novel. I hope she has tried level best to limit exaggerations and not to fictionize her whole novel !

Those who don’t have much patience may feel that some portions are a bit slow n dragging....
But that’s quite natural in novel sequel which explains every experience in detail...

The pain and distress which Maya suffers as she sinks into the pitch dark life will anchor in every reader’s heart for sure... Jovan has explained everything in detail and the reading experience will take you to India virtually...

Avatar’s rituals gave her more stress and ill health ..
Mean while back in US her parents prays to Christ for shielding their daughter...
In deed the whole book is based on the power and effects of prayers straight from heart ! You’ll move closer to Christ if you finish reading this book.

Ah and also to glue more readers with the book Jovan has added a bit of romance with her usual flavours...Maya and Narayan falls for each other in midst of all these miserable conditions...
Strange huh !?
But I assure that you won’t get disappointed because of the unexpected way of romance narration....

The way in which novel ends will disturb you.........because you will be forced to wait for her next book to be out, to know what happened to Maya ultimately !  :D
Yeah the Saga continues...

With lots of love n regards,

Chasing Maya...

After reading this post if you count me as a paid writer who blogs for advertising the book about which I’m gonna write in this post, it would be awkward... So let me introduce myself in a few words...
Well I am a Christian boy, 20, pursuing bachelor of engineering (at present pre-final year)...
So now let me get back to the point...
I was in search of a good topic to start blogging. Of course googling and wiking will answer almost every doubt, and I don’t find sense in creating some absurd ditto web documents !
So came to the conclusion that whatever I blog should be the essence of my views and experiences...
The pile of books in my shelf gave me an answer..., a vibrant new topic for my first blog post..., ’CHASING the AVATAR’
’CHASING the AVATAR’ by Jovan Jones is not a mere fictionalized novel trying to inculcate someone’s imagination into our brain. Its Jovan’s autobiographical depiction of what she encountered here in India in search of truth, faith and enlightenment.
Maya(hmm...thats how Jovan calls herself in the novel) was pursuing her doctoral studies and as most of the youths, she also had a lot of confusions regarding spiritual life. Indeed a spiritual battle was going on in her head. She even deliberately experimented some rare religions and found them not suiting for her ! Later she gained more knowledge regarding Hinduism and Budhism and finally under a friend’s guidance she came to meet a Guru ‘Cha ma’ or this so called Avatar.
She was in a way addicted to all those sudden spiritual experiences and in the new dizziness of tremendous change she forgets herself ! Leaving behind her mom, dad and Jesus Christ she left with this Avatar to India. She believed the Avatar blindly n thought that she was gaining some kind of better warmth and peace from this new psycho life.
Jovan’s descriptions of her life as Avatar’s devotee, rituals and unending mental and physical struggles in South India will be shocking for those who are trying to seek solace by following such Avatars !
Her mother’s love and prayers to Jesus Christ to save her daughter works well both in her real life and in the Novel. Of course whoever calls on the name of Lord shall be saved.
Jovan was born and brought up as a Christian and hence her style of explaining experiences enroots well in Christian perspective and the Holy Bible. But I don’t think this will ever act as a hindrance to non-Christian readers. Also all the complex terms related to the rituals mentioned in book could be found in its appendix.
Hence in short Jovan’s novel gives enhanced reading experience and our mind will indeed chase Maya and her fate all the way from US to India. In many points the mental stress n strain because of being in midst such pitch black of dark beliefs will make us relate our lives to that of character Maya’s. Her pathetic life after her foolishness to flee from the Holy Bible and later the miracles of believing in Christ ultimately are well depicted in the book.
Confusions regarding spirituality may happen in any phase of our life and therefore I would recommend this book to all those Christians who are not counting Jesus Christ as their one and only redeemer and who have clogged their minds with thoughts to be the disciples of such greedy Avatars.

With God’s grace if I’m able earn some hits n comments for this post, then I will try my level best to review its sequel in my next post.
With lots of love n regards,
